Damson

The damson trees upon which the fruit is grown produce a wonderful blossom in the spring, with the fruits being ready to harvest late summer to early autumn. Damsons are small, purple-coloured stony fruits grown for their culinary uses and spring blossom. They may also be referred to as damson plum trees, as the fruits are not dissimilar to plums. Most damsons are self-fertile and do not require another nearby.
