Hypericum Hidcote is a small, bushy, semi-evergreen shrub with narrowly ovate, dark-green leaves. In summer it bears cheerful, yellow, cup-shaped flowers from July to October that bloom from red buds. It bears bright-red, oval fruits in autumn. This low, spreading, semi- evergreen shrub is a valuable groundcover plant where space is limited.
The large, daffodil-yellow blooms of Hypericum ‘Hidcote’ are bright and cheerful, and will brighten up a shady border. Plants are dense, bushy and mix well with herbaceous perennials, they are best suited to the back of the border or do equally well when used as a low hedge, reaching around 120cm tall. Supplied in 2 litre containers.
