African Lily – Agapanthus

Agapanthus’ are beautiful hardy perennial that produce flowers above dense strappy spears of foliage. The flowers begin to bloom in July through to September and stand on strong sturdy stems that reach an eventual height of 90cm. An excellent choice for adding texture and character to patio containers or the front of garden borders; they can also be used in floral displays to be presented indoors. We recommend planting in well-drained soil in a sunny area of the garden where they will flourish. They can also be planted in more shaded areas where they will produce luxurious foliage but fewer flowers. Can be left in the ground but give a covering of mulch during winter as they are susceptible to frost.
