Elephant’s Ears – Bergenia cordifolia

The shiny, evergreen, cabbage like leaves of the Berginia have a unique leathery appearance .From early to late spring, masses of pink flowers appear in clusters on thick stems just above the foliage. These flowers and leaves are both long- lasting and thrive in sunlight or partial shade. The Berginia dislikes heavy soils and standing water.
