Thuja occidentalis ‘Smaragd’ Spiral

Thuja occidentalis ‘Smaragd’ is a slow-growing, ornamental shrub with erect sprays of bright green, aromatic foliage, it is a colourful way to add height and structure to your beds and borders. Easy to grow, ‘Smaragd’ is a great plant for both new and experienced gardeners as it requires little to no maintenance. To achieve the stunning spiral shape, they are trained for many years and so it is a time-consuming and difficult process that results in highly decorative topiary trees that are very easy to keep in shape. Prune to keep trimmed once or twice per annum which should be enough to keep them in top form.
