In early summer the branches of Weigela ‘Kosteriana Variegata’ are literally weighed down with blooms. Masses of pink tubular flowers smother the length of the stems, almost covering the foliage. As the flowers fade, this spreading, deciduous shrub remains eye catching for its variegated green leaves that are edged with a deep buttery yellow margin. Weigela is easy to grow and often seen in cottage garden borders and woodland plantings. Grow this variety toward the back of the border where its arching stems have room to spread. Maximum height and spread is 2m.
