‘Star of India’ is a deciduous climber, 2.5-4m tall, with dark green leaves and flowers, up to 13cm across, from midsummer to early autumn. The semi-nodding flowers emerge a red-purple colour with a reddish central bar and fade with age; anthers greenish-cream. Approximately 90 cm tall
