Prunus Spinosa (commonly known as Blackthorn) is a thorny deciduous trees/ shrub with small white flowers in early spring, and followed by ovoid bloomy black fruits 1cm across; and the plant is know for its ‘Sloe’s’ The autumnal colours are vibrant.Prunus Spinosa is often planted in native mix hedgerows and these are available from November to March in ‘bare root’ form
