Greater Periwinkle – Vinca major

Vinca major is known more commonly as Variegated Greater Periwinkle, this plant is less ‘aggressive’, yet still as vigorous as Vinca minor. It has fantastic variegated evergreen leaves, painted dark green with creamy-white margins. Used as a groundcover perennial, Vinca major is the perfect plant to occupy large areas of ground or sloping banks that are difficult to mow and maintain. It flowers best in full sun but grows just about anywhere on a whole range of soils. Approximate growing height: 45cm with a spread of 75cm.
