Stipa arundinacea or Anemanthele lessioniana (Pheasant’s Tail Grass) is an elegant and impressive ornamental grass that is a favourite of landscape designers and gardeners. Semi-evergreen, it has arching, dark green, thread-like leaves, that sway gracefully in the slightest breeze. They turn into attractive shades of copper, gold, and bronze in the fall and throughout winter, adding bristling colour to the dull landscape. In summer, they are topped with arching sprays of pink flowers which turn into a lovely bronze colour in autumn.
