Berberis ‘Red Pillar’

Berberis Red Pillar, commonly known as ‘Red Pillar Barberry’, is an attractive deciduous shrub renowned for its striking, columnar growth habit and vibrant foliage. This cultivar is distinguished by its upright, narrow form, which makes it an excellent choice for creating vertical interest in garden beds, borders, or as a formal hedge. Berberis Red Pillar features glossy, deep red to burgundy leaves that provide stunning colour from spring through autumn.  In late spring to early summer, it produces clusters of small yellow flowers that are followed by bright red berries in the autumn. The plant typically grows to a height of 1.5 metres with a similar spread, making it ideal for adding a bold vertical element to various garden settings.
