THE POLLY & NATE CLUB AUGUST PICK 2023

Our first entry into the Polly & Nate Club for a while is the Astilbe.

Astilbe are also known as ‘False Goat’s Beard’ and are beautiful plants with lovely foliage and flowers. Bees, butterflies and many other pollinators are attracted to astilbes, making them a lovely addition to your garden.

Astilbe are perfect to plant in those tricky, shaded areas to bring colour and texture. Plumes of feathery flowers emerge from late-spring through to the summer months and they come in various sizes to fit anywhere in your garden.

They should be planted in a part shady location but can tolerate more sun as long as their soil doesn’t dry out. They are easy to care for, and should be cut back after flowering. As they are herbaceous perennials, they will die back in the winter but re-emerge in spring.

Don’t miss out on our herbaceous sale, which includes all of our astilbes! Buy any 5 or more of our herbaceous plants and each will be £4… use code herbaceoussale at checkout.
